When Sarah and Ryan joined their friends for Catholic camp in college, the speaker the first day joked that they should look around at their potential dating pool. Little did they know, that joke would turn into reality. The friendship they began at that camp would later turn into a lifelong friendship with each other through marriage.
While getting candid photos of the wedding parties getting ready, I could tell just how deeply their friendships ran. The groom was all laughs with his best man and groomsmen during their photo session, yet they were still able to pose for some serious photos to commemorate the day. The bride had some touching moments with her bridesmaids as they prayed with her as she prepared to marry the man of her dreams. But none of those topped the beautiful moments with her mother and sister as they helped her into her dress.
Sarah chose to wear her mother’s dress on her special day. With such a stunning dress, there’s no wonder why. Her dress boasted intricate lace detail sleeves, a perfect portrait neckline, and breathtaking train. Combined with all those remarkable features, the sentimentality took the gown to the next level. And while that was sentimental for her, it was even more so for her father who got to dance with that dress again on another day of love and ceremony.
Sarah and Ryan were married at Emmaus Catholic Parish in Austin, TX. The chapel displayed floor to ceiling windows that let beautiful natural light and highlighted incredible wooden arches. After the couple said their “I dos,” guests still had their eyes on her train as they sashayed back down the aisle as husband and wife.
After the ceremony, a reception followed at Antebellum Oaks Venue in Austin, TX with Dream Events. The atmosphere was so fun that I was snapping pictures left and right of guests enjoying their evening. The venue was a perfect place for the bride and groom to dance the night away with all their family and friends that had joined them to celebrate the start of their new life together.
