Sarie and Hayden told me right off the bat, “From the first moments we met over whiskey almost a year ago, we knew we wanted a wedding that was fully us and nothing else.”
They plan from the heart, and that night, as I left the restaurant, the text simply read, “You probably haven’t made it to your car yet, but we’re in!”
And that is who they are – they are all in. For one another, for those they love, for creating a life that is fully them and nothing else. It goes without saying that it was an honor to be able to document their big day for them.
I’m in it for the heart, too, so we were a perfect match. While I love utilizing my artistic eye in wedding photography, I’m also all about authentic photojournalism – images that tell the whole story. I believe these kinds of images are truly treasured forever. By catching priceless moments through my lens, they’ll be able to look back at their vibrant collection photos and remember the funny dialogues, the candid hugs, and the happy tears. Wedding photography goes beyond “pretty pictures,” and it was a privilege to help them preserve and share their story.
This is where it all began…
On a chilly February day at the beautiful Barr Mansion, these two incredibly loving humans pledged forevers and struggles and best days together…and they did it their way.
Love you both!! Here’s a peek…
For couples like Sarie and Hayden who want to do their wedding day their way, the Barr Mansion and wedding coordinator Cori Teague are fantastic choices. Cori goes above and beyond – without imposing – to bring each unique couple’s wedding day vision to life. Although the venue is a mansion, the ceremony and reception spaces are blank canvases, ideal for putting your personal touch on the day.
And this wedding was filled with personal touches – everything from the custom wine box by Country Barn Babe to the personalized handkerchiefs by The Polka Dotted Bee. They even used a local stationary company called The Paper Place in Austin, with complementary floral design by Merci Bouquet. Somehow, they tied it all together flawlessly for the complete image. Absolutely gorgeous, and many thanks to all of the incredible vendors involved. Check them out below!
