The Allan House witnessed the celebration of two people who appreciate each other’s quirks and embrace the ups and downs of love. Jin and Ian finally (according to their families) tied the knot! These two are soul mates, and they’re not the only ones who noticed that right from the start. Everyone who came was overjoyed to be celebrating two people they love oh, so dearly.
All that was left was the party…and Jin & Ian loved every single second of it, as you can see by the unfading smiles on their faces in almost every photo. Here’s a sneak peek!
The Allen House is a unique venue in downtown Austin. This Victorian mansion was designed and built in 1883 by a Scottish immigrant. After his residence, the gorgeous home was transformed into a girls’ school. Allan asked that, after his passing, the house would still be used for educational purposes. The building served as a schoolhouse for many years, and eventually an Austin businessman who appreciated the building and its rich history decided to restore the home, preserving its gorgeous original architecture and details.
To this day, it is a family-operated business, and it’s their joy to host weddings and gatherings of all kinds in celebration of major life events.
The property has maintained its lovely century oaks, and as you can see from Jin and Ian’s wedding, an elegant tent on the lawn makes for the perfect al fresco reception. I’m in love with the vintage feel of this space.
