As much a wedding is day is about the big moments, it’s also all about the smaller (yet priceless) things that help create the full experience. Kayla & Alex celebrated their love story at Angel Springs Event Center with their closest family and friends (and sweet Harley, the pup). Everything about this day – the venue, the décor, the design – was perfectly them. 

Angel Springs is a uniquely private wedding venue that spans across ten quiet acres of Texas hill country. The venue’s outdoor ceremony setup is one of my favorites: a boardwalk aisle leads to a group of large oak trees, providing shade for guests and a romantic backdrop for the couple. Then inside, their ballroom is an elegant and spacious blank slate for couples to design the dream wedding!

Every wedding I shoot is completely different depending on the couple, their story, and their style, but the one constant I find in all of them is a distinctive wedding day twinkle. I bet if you lined up the entire wedding party – in no particular order, all wearing their normal, everyday clothes – you could pick out the bride and groom based solely on the wedding-day sparkle in their eyes and never-ending smiles. And oh, how I love to capture that special look for couples on their wedding day, and there were plenty of opportunities during Kayla and Alex’s extraordinary day.

From the custom view finder gift that depicted their favorite photos to Kayla’s dad officiating the ceremony, this wedding day was filled with love and celebration. You have to check out the photos of their choreographed first dance and romantic passes through the sparklers as they finished the party off right. There’s no doubt Kayla and Alex adored their day.
