Y’all, this one will pull at your heartstrings! A groom tearing up over his radiant bride will do that every time. Caitlyn and Otto make more sense together than they do separately, and their genuine love for each other – I’m talking complete adoration – is apparent in every photo! Although their wedding design was elegant and beautiful, these two brought the romance to the room.
An Unexpected First Look
When Otto opened his gift – an engraved watch – it was all over for him. Originally, he didn’t want to do a first look, worried that it would take away from the moment of seeing her down the aisle. But as you can see, Caitlyn convinced him otherwise. He was equally awestruck both times, and his reaction was one of the sweetest I’ve witnessed in a while. Caitlyn worked in a bridal salon and has tried on just about every style, so he had no idea what to expect. To say he was floored seeing her in such a lacy, feminine dress is an understatement. He “something borrowed” veil from a bridesmaid added the perfect touch.
During the ceremony, they were so focused on each other, and we were all reaching for the tissues as they exchanged vows. Then, we were all ready to celebrate with the brand-new Mr. and Mrs. with an unforgettable celebration.
Romantic Hilltop Ceremony
Caitlyn has planned and coordinated dozens of weddings, so she understood that every detail mattered as she expertly planned her own wedding in coordination with the incredibly talented Amanda Woods from Amanda Blue Events. It was just lovely. The venue, Canyonwood Ridge, sits atop a scenic mesa overlooking the gorgeous Texas hill country. The chapel is designed to showcase the views with surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows, and the architecture utilizes simple white stone and wood features – perfect for those light and airy ceremony photos.
I always like to emphasize that a wedding day is way for a couple to share their story, and I’m just there to capture it authentically. When you see last week’s spirited and spunky Halloween infused wedding with this week’s sweet and elegant fall wedding, you can see exactly what I mean. They are both so beautiful in their own ways.
Congratulations, Caitlyn and Otto! What a surreal day!
